Straw man? If the thought of Speaker of the House Nancy D'Allesandro Pelosi does not scare the crap out of you, I am quite sure you are not conservative.
OK, accepting your premise of "divided government," how much power do you want the liberal Democrats to have? If they get the House, they can impeach the President for trying to protect the country from another 9/11. If they get the Senate, you can forget conservative judges getting out of the Judiciary Committee. Well?

If Speaker Pelosi and key House Chairmen like John Conyers don't scare the living hell out of you, then you really need to rethink some of your politics. It is not a Straw Man...it would be a PAINFUL reality to swallow.
