Huh? Those two are combined in one medicine, Avandamet. I've been taking it for 2 years now. Nobody mentioned anything about heart attacks, and I haven't had any problems. It has helped tremendously.

Take a real good look at the dosage. We are very involved at the moment with a man who did, in fact, suffer a heart attack as a consequence of using normal doses of these medications too close in time. He was transitioning from one to the other.

Also, notice that in the article at the beginning of this thread it discusses "side effects" which include "Fluid retention, congestive heart failure, and weight gain".

Bet you thought none of that applied to you. Ask your doctor.
