I am surprised that nobody has noticed this poll taken by SurveyUSA on September 14th.

Nelson 53% : Harris 38%

Clearly, Harris is catching up fast. She used to be 30 points behind but in this post-primary poll, the gap has been narrowed to 15%.

Nelson is in his low 50s, he is clearly in danger. For all those Harris nonsayers, I say screw you!! If Harris keeps on campaigning, the victory is within reach!

When RINO Lincoln Chafee won his primary, all the GOP establishement signed a sigh of relief. However, a new poll to be released by Rasmussen shows the following astonishing results:

Whitehouse 51% : Chafee 43%.

Will GOP establishment pour in another $5MM to save this RHINO? Shall we say mission impossible after the conservative voters are pissed off by the blatant interference from Ms. Dole?

The bit with the subpoena is a bit more complex than you are letting on. You either don't know much about subpoenas, or you're hoping to score points with other people who don't know much about subpoenas.

In the first place, getting a subpoena doesn't mean anything except that you know something 'they' want to know. I was subpoenaed concerning a certain 527 that I had worked for as a contractor. I had some documents the FEC wanted to see. Now hear this: the lawyer told me I couldn't tell anyone that I'd gotten the subpoena.

I'm sure that Harris' staff's feeling were hurt that she didn't tell them all about the subpoena, but it may well be that she was told not to by the lawyers. Obviously, not telling them does not constitute "lying" about it. Managers don't tell their staffs about lots of things that cross their desks. Sometimes it's just plain none of their business.

Without messing with the constitution, FL is still a more important state than RI. Its senators' actions influence millions of people who send a lot of other politicians to office. The system we place in power attempts to become self-perpetuating. Also, Flordida's prosperity makes it a source of enormous influence. Its location makes it geopolitically significant.
