Two of my old students from New O are evacuees from Katrina.I can guarantee you they are both working,not slanging dope or otherwise causing problems.
I hate to see so many of the residents of my ex-city defamed with a broad brush.Yes,we had our share of thugs and welfare cases.Most of the population,however,black and white,were damn good people and I will never hesitate to stand up for them.
