Music has always been seen as the bottom of the entertainment barrel. The real money and prestige was always in films. The rappers today aren't doing anything different than Frank Sinatra and a lot of others did in years past.

Sadly,Hollywood has really been in a creative rut lately.
I was looking forward to seeing Half Nelson, since it deals with situations I have some experience with but was solidly disappointed. The teacher was a troubled soul and struggled with his demons yet in the end copped out like the punk he was.
Little Miss Sunshine was amusing and I loved the satire. But there were no great epiphanies or moments of transcending out of the box.
Scoop had its moments too.But no great shakes in the end.
