Yes...amazing isn't it...and I have a feeling he has probably said something to his highness McCain...but NOBODY tells him he is wrong very often I betcha.
There is just one problem. Over the next 8 weeks we have to all come together( Regardless of McCain's antics), enough to win yet another election.
The rats have no problem coming together in a moments notice. That's what happens when you believe in only raw power and are clueless issue wise.
We, on the other hand stand for things and it's harder to put those things aside and come together but as par usual there is lots at stake and we have to keep that in the foreground not the background.
My attitude is that it certainly doesn't have a practical effect on the outcome of Sunday's game, now does it?
The people I always want to smack are the ones that say "it was obvious to everyone" after an event has happened but said nothing before. The 9/11 commission comes to mind...

There was an op-ed in a New Hampshire paper yesterday that was NOT happy with McCain's stance against Bush on the GC subject..
That plays into your theory, that maybe the New England area would be open to someone other than McCain.

Also, I was angry with what Chris did in his "Person of the Week" segment.

I think for Chris to run that old footage of him during the POTW segment was in poor taste...it smacked of piling on.

Mitt never brings up his religion and doesn't use it like Clinton and others. I think they would have a tough time using it against him.
Mitt has a beautiful wife,Anne, 5 very attractive sons and numerous grandchildren. He's straight from central casting but there is substance.
I think Haley Barbour is very worthy of consideration. He is smart and competent and has, at least to me, an unmistakeable streak of decency without being a pushover.
If Chris Bell, the Democrat candidate for Governor of Texas shows up..it might be....because he is the one that threw Tom Delay under the bus in the House.
He lost his seat in the House due to the redistricting..and so, when he was a lame duck representative he went to the Ethics Committee and filed at least 2 and maybe more complaints against Delay, and they weren't about the redistricting.
Therefore, with the election a little over a month away..and the Clintoons down there..and a national audience, don't you think it would be a perfect time for Bubbaette to come out and endorse the "next Governor of Texas" that would follow in "dear Ann Richards' footsteps"????
Just caught the end of FNS. I usually don't watch the power player. When CW came on and said he would have the toon next week, I knew that I would not be watching.
I heard some dem spokesperson say today that the difference between what Bush wants to do, and what McCain wants to do is: McCain cares about the troops, because he was one...and Bush doesn't because he wasn't.
MY REPLY to that??
Well, the troops volunteer to go to war...President Bush is caring for the people of the UNITED STATES...who are in the most danger if these people get classified information and then pass it to their buddies...which could lead to another attack on US!!!
Bush DOES care about the troops...but this whole GC is NOT about the troops, we all know the troops won't be treated well by any of our present enemies...this is about keeping the American citizens safe from terrorists.

Say what you will, with no complaint from me, about John McCain, but Colin Powell wants the approbation of the crowd without ever risking anything in the arena.
Of course, McCain comes way short of this same standard when compared to GWB. We are, today, in the presence of a giant in the office of the presidency. There are four I can think of who are his equal in our history. Only two are on Rushmore.
