The point the Pope was making in his speech was that violence is no may to spread religion. Islam, in this present day, relies on violence and intimidation to spread its religious beliefs. The Pope was entirely correct. His critics at the Times, as usual, are wrong.

The Times editorial staff, collectively, has the courage of Chicken Little.

Its disturbing to Christian-hating liberals. But its still true and the New York Times can't refute it.

Maybe this idiotic editorial is supposed to appease the Islamonazis so they won't attack NY City again. Go figure.

And in response to condemnation of violence done in the name of Religion, Islamic Factists went out and did, and threatended to do, more violence in the name of religion.

And the Appeasement Now Democrats go out and condemn the words instead of the actions!

You gave a very nice overview of the mus-lib's manufactured kerfuffle.

The Pope's got more credentials in university level theology and religious history than the Times does.

The Times is unable to attack the Pope as a theological quack, so they resort to their usual "The facts must be ignored" position.

"Jihad" can mean many things from an individual's internal spiritual struggle to open warfare

As someone else pointed out a week or so ago, the title of Hitler's book, "Mein Kampf," can be interpreted as "My Struggle." Mein Jihad.

Me too. And here's some good news on that.

That was a great article about the NYT's declining circulation. Thanks!
