"He stated that it was a piece of cake and that we shouldn't even try the techniques on the terrorists.
Good grief!
If he said that, then it's obvious he has never been to SERE school!

I saw those women on GMA this morning and could see they were lying through their teeth.
Contact GMA on ABC and complain that they don't do any simple diligence on their interviewees...
Personally, I believe what happend was that instead of ABC looking for 3 random Republicans, they went out and hand-picked these women after looking specifically for "Republican women who said they were voting Democrat". The fact is ABC would be hard-pressed to REALLY find such women. Once you go Republican, you never go back. And that's the truth, baby!!
Give GMA hell for this, because, they claimed these women were randomly picked for their sentiments
To: Azzurri
I'm betting money that the Democratic Party handed these "Republicans" to someone at ABC. This was an inside job with a purpose. This is almost as bad as Rathergate.

I watched them in real time and didn't believe them, either. Glad to see this thread to know my instincts are still intact.

Oh, yeah, I had to mute most of the show - "Justin Timberlake, Memphis's most famous musician." Barf.

Don Sundquist was a very unpopular Republican Gov. of Tennessee, especially since he raised taxes and pushed some kind of Gov. healthcare program that cost a fortune. Hearding south one afternoon, I accidently hit an NPR interview about Tennesseecare. It was a nightmare. Since it cost so much, they had to ration healthcare. One hell of a socialist nightmare.
The guy didn't meant to indict the program, but as he explained the history and the changes, it's was self-indicting.

Why didn't they just claim to be Republicans for the last 378 years and voted for every Republican since, and including, George Washington?
Childishly transparent.

received this from someone else:
Believe it or not, a live person answered GMA's phone just now and allowed me to email them Janna's URL, told him about the other person being on PP's Board, not a very republican cause.
I was polite, they were polite. He seemed a bit peeved that they got stung and said he would pass it on.

That would be Tenncare!
To: Doctor Raoul
It was actually the Gov. before Sundquist, Ned Ray McWhorter that invented Tenncare. you probably won't be surprised to know that he is a Gore relative.

I haven't gone to DU much lately (waiting for the election results, then I'll go and gloat), but they used to have a lot of threads that read just like that GMA bit. You know............."I just spoke to my neighbor who ran a campaign office for Bush in 2000. He is so pissed that Bush has betrayed our country, our soldiers, and or elderly that he has joined me in canvassing the neighborhood for new voters this fall. Needless to say we only register Democratic voters" I recall those type of threads on DU. As a matter of fact, they still go on from time to time.
Check out conservativeunderground.com
Better yet, their Best/Worst of DU where such threads are posted and made fun of. Many are labeled: "Bouncy Ball threads" after DUer Bouncy Ball, the most prolific DUer in those kind of threads.

Yes, Tenncare. Knew it was a sound alike to Medicare. Thanks for the correction in case anyone wants to google that program.
