If the goal is to gain the moderate vote, what ever that is, he`s picked the wrong issue. As compared to many, if not most FReepers, I'm somewhat moderate. For example, I am open to voting for Romney and Guiliani, while many FReepers are not.
I'm a life-long Republican, not a hard-right ideologue, and I'll never vote for McEgo for anything except under the most dire of circumstances. Why should I vote for a Republican who has never been loyal to me and other rank-and-file Republicans?

E-mailed them at the US Senate. Remind these nincompoops that the blood of American citizens will be on their hands should the terrorists hit us with another 9/11. These 3 stooges are nauseating.

You would think that someone who was tortured like John McCain would have a different take on torture by our enemies.

I too might vote for Rudy or Mitt because they have shown real leadership and good judgment in tough situations.
McCain is a Vietnam hero and I respect him for that, but, his judgment, especially on this issue, sucks

McCain is a Vietnam hero and I respect him for that, but, his judgment, especially on this issue, sucks.McCain's military service was over 30 years ago. Although we can respect his service then, we would not be electing that man, but the man he is today. The man he is today is not a hero, but a treacherous SOB with a monumental ego, ambition and anger that consumes him and drives everything he does. He has no business anywhere near the presidency.

If we're attacked again and a movie is made like the "The Path to 9/11," we'll have new characters who were foolishly indifferent to our threat from terror.
