That was a beautiful soliloquy, but you haven't answered his question. All you've done is add to the appearance of an ulterior motive.
I have no motive .....just thought it might be interesting to discuss this topic. What you see is what you get with me.
Pardon me for being so unpatriotic to suggest such an abhorrent concept as political discourse between thinking individuals.
If you cut me I bleed red, white and blue. They don't make 'em more patriotic then me .....ask my Asian wife. I'm almost intolerable with it.
I turn 50 this year and perhaps the age has settled into my bones enough that I don't swallow everything I read, see and hear anymore without first dissecting it and forming my own opinion.
FreeRepublic has always been an intellectual oasis in that one can search for topics of which need a clearer picture and one can find it. From both sides.
I also realize the nature of this topic. It is delicate and I mean no disrespect. Perhaps in 10 or twenty years the fury will fade enough that discussions like these don't evolve into fits of anger and vitriol so quickly.
Again....no motive shy of an inquisitive, yet foggy mind not realizing some things in America are off limits for discussion. My how we've changed from when we were young.
