VCSS Announces Heidi Stirrup as a Member of their Senior Advisory Council and Opening of the Official VCSS Blog

FARMVILLE, VA- Chris Shores, Chairman and Tres Watson, Executive Director of Virginians for a Conservative State Senate are happy to make two exciting announcements.

The first is that Heidi Stirrup of Prince William County has been named to the VCSS Senior Advisory Council. The second is that the official VCSS weblog is now on-line.

Heidi Stirrup, a Senior Legislative Advisor at Venable LLP, has a vast array of experience in politics. From working as the Senior Policy Advisory to former House Majority Leader Dick Armey to directing the Capitol Hill office of the Christian Coalition to working in the Reagan White House, Heidi possesses an invaluable wealth of political knowledge and is a tremendous addition to the VCSS Senior Advisory Board. Upon her appointment, Heidi had this to say: If we hope to promote and preserve the time-honored conservative principles as envisioned by our founding fathers of limited and constitutional government and lower taxes through entitlement and spending reforms, then we must ensure that principled conservatives are elected and re-elected and that is the primary goal of Virginians for a Conservative State Senate. I am proud and honored to support such an effort!"

In addition, VCSS is pleased to announce that the official VCSS weblog is now on-line at http://vcssenate.blogspot.com. As a precursor to the VCSS website, which is currently in development, the blog will act as a way for the PAC to share news concerning the fight to lower taxes and spending and create a conservative majority in the State Senate. The blog will be updated often and the comments section will be open after every post for activists around the state to share thoughts and ideas. The blog will also serve as the latest news source concerning VCSS news such as press releases and updates on upcoming events. Check out the blog now to a full biography on VCSS newest board member, Heidi Stirrup! In addition, every Friday will close with an open comment forum to discuss any topic, from what incumbents people around the state would like to see challenged to their favorite piece of pork barrel legislation.

How about putting somewhere on your 2007 agenda the cutback of funds for the University of Virginia?

If a state-fed publication can afford to publish Nativity (Ob)scene cartoons--as mentioned on today's Laura Ingraham show--then it's got more funding than it already needs.

For Virginians unaware of my reference: The figure depicting Saint Joseph says Mary, mother of Jesus: "Mary…I don't mean to ruin this special moment, but how did you get that bumpy rash?” suggesting a sexually transmitted disease. To which a Mary-figure says, “I swear, it was Immaculately Transmitted.”

This is not simply a "barb" aimed at a historical Biblical figure (Mary), but by implication, this accuses not only Mary of promiscuity, but attaches an accusation of promiscuity to the Holy Spirit who impregnated her.

Perhaps without realizing it, the University of Virginia is guilty of blaspheming the Holy Spirit, the only unforgivable sin highlighted in the entire book of the Bible.

LOL.
Not yet.
I've been up to my eyeballs all summer with taking an EMT class. Next month, if I pass the state test, I will be an EMT-Basic. It's been keeping me busy, to say the least. I'm sure Stosch is glad that I have something else keeping me busy.
