"Thank goodness the Catholics protected the Bible so that you have one to read."

ahh. Well then thank you for your library. The Gospels were not invented by the Catholics.

I hear that nonsense all of the time like somehow that absolves Catholicsm from the evils of interpretation it purveys.

It is not the responsibility of the Catholic clergy to tell me how to interpret the Bible.

I will not be spiritually subvervient to any man (who are sinners) as required by the Catholic church.

Men are too weak to have such authority.

Seek Christ for yourself. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in your studies of the Gospels and let His words speak to you as an individual and a saint, and a disciple, of Christ.

With all due respect-

GOD protected the bible. He used any and every means, Jews, Catholic monks, Germans with printing presses and probably many, many more stories and methods than we will ever know of here on this world. If we all spent the effort trying to LIVE the CORE of the thing ("love the Lord with all your heart, soul and strength and your neighbor as yourself) that we spend arguing over 'rocks' vs 'sand' we'd only be able to find reference to Muslims on Wikipedia.

No they were not invented by them. But way back before the printing press, every single bible was written by hand. And before it was written it was spoken. If anyone with a pen could write that bible as they interpreted it, what would we have today? One word change can entirely change the meaning of something. So did someone other than the evil cult assume that responsibility?

Then you disobey the Bible, which commands obedience to church leadership in Hebrews 13:17, among other places.

Take your anti-Catholic rant to the religion board, where it belongs.

Of course we all know that in the Bible, Jesus says,"Thou art Peter, and upon thy profession of faith, I wilt build my church...."

What man who stands between you and God taught you that?
