Matthew 26:51-53 (New King James Version)

51 And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.

52 But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish[a] by the sword. 53 Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

That would be a good reply to post #14. ;-) Even Jesus, himself being "attacked", told the others to turn away and let it happen.

Sleeping offends these first century holdovers.

"Islamists threatening violence again."

Well, they DO believe Islam as all the answers to every human problem or question, and that's it. Violence.

hat is especially noteworthy is that the Grand Mufti was schooled in the tactics of the Third Reich, Modern Islamofascism has its roots in the Nazi doctrines of fascism and racial apartheid.
Doublespeak was brought to its zenith and perfection by the USSR. Projecting one's own worse behavior on one's enemy is a favorite tool of terrorists who seek to sow dissent and confusion. The Democrats in the US have become masters as well as victims of this delusional tactic.
The Pope is showing a refreshing alacrity of truth-telling by calling Islamofascism what it is, bloodthirsty and rapacious.
And, yes, His Eminence is calling for a new Crusade to once again push the infidels back into the desert.

He said, I quote, ’Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached,”’ he quoted the emperor as saying.

WORD!

Islam is a cult not a religion. They are all brainwashed.

Seriousl question here, though. Are these statements GENERAL orders to be carried out for all time, or specific to a specific time and situation? I don't know the context.

I believe it is general because of their "end time" prophecies. I have read excerpts of their end time prophecies and the amazing thing is they parallel the Christian ones except for a key point.

In Christian prophecy, God alone brings the judgments to unbelievers. In the Muslim prophecy, the believers not only are expected to bring the judgments God will not come until they rid the world of unbelievers. These two world views are diametrically opposed to each other and irreconcilable.

"What I find interesting is that those that support/defend Islam understand that Hitler and Mussolini where terrible, horrible men.... yet, when they sling their insulting comparisons, THEY are the ones who are supporting/defending a (so-called) 'religion' that has a lot of commonalities to the fascist thinking of Hitler and Mussolini."

What's even more interesting is that, even knowing and acknowledging that Hitler and Mussolini were horrible men, all the Muslim Old Guard started politerrorist life as members of the Nazi or Fascist parties, most switched to Stalinism after he emerged as the stronger horse, their ideology has been the basis of Arab politics for generations - Muslim generations being somewhat short - and those new generations STILL say Hitler and Mussolini were horrible while STILL believing in their ideologies. (pant, pant)

So....are Islamists COMPLIMENTING the pope by calling him a man after their own hearts or are they condemning themselves for being men after the hearts of Hitler and Mussolini?

Typical projection of guilt.

I'm reminded of an old saying: "If you throw a rock into a pack of dogs, the one that hollers is the one that got hit." It would appear that the Pope's message found its target (and continued to do so).

Photos of some of the activities of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, circa WW2:

And, considering the sales of Mein Kampf are skyrocketing (note: present tense) in the Mohammedan world, their tarring people with Hitler's name isn't exactly credible. In fact, under the rare cicumstances in which Mohammedans apparently are not in some foaming-at-the-mouth rage, I would imagine that their likening someone to Hitler would be a compliment.
