FIRENZE - E' morta a Firenze la scrittrice Oriana Fallaci.
Aveva 77 anni, era afflitta da alcuni anni da un male incurabile.
Sembra che la giornalista fosse ricoverata da qualche giorno
in un ospedale fiorentino dove,
secondo sue precise disposizioni,
la degenza è avvenuta nel più stretto riserbo.
I funerali si svolgeranno in forma strettamente privata.

It seems that the journalist for several days

I guess she flew to Italy a few weeks ago to spend her last days there. She was born in the same year as my father but a few months later. Time has a way of catching with us and the years go by fast and then we're gone. Our mortal lives are all too brief.
