LONDON Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter criticized the British government on Thursday for quickly adopting controversial policies of the Bush administration regarding the Iraq war and the Israel-Hezbollah conflict.
"I've been really disappointed in the apparent subservience of the British government's policies related to many of the serious mistakes that have been originated in Washington," Carter said in an interview BBC-TV's news show "Nightline."
In the past, Carter said, British governments had used a "strong voice" to help shape joint U.S.-British policies as part of the long-standing special relationship between two of the world's greatest democracies.
But under Prime Minister Tony Blair, Carter said, "no matter what kind of radical or ill-advised policy that's proposed from the White House, it seems to me, that almost automatically the government of Great Britain would adopt the same policy, without exerting its influence in the Middle East peace process in the case of the Lebanese-Israeli war in the recent or past, and certainly in the ill-advised abandonment of the war against terrorism to substitute the war in Iraq."

Well, goll-lee. If it's not all Jimmuh all the time.
HEY JIMMUH: STHU!!
How's the Pali situation doing, Jimmah? Moron.
One can only hope that Carter will do for his party, what he did for our Country.
Don't you mean "maroon"?
Sometimes, when I look at my children, I say to myself: "Lillian, you should have remained a virgin."

a bitter, bitter man.
Carter is the most class-less former president we have ever had. Come think of it, he was the most class-less president too.
No big deal, but you might wanna ax someone to change a particular word in your title to "compliant".
The Democrats show us over and over again that ignorance and arrogance work well together, to produce total jackasses.
The little man becomes small then tini and finally microscopic.
This is typical of the demcrat party today....trash our allies, praise our enemies. They live in bizzaro world, and the american people are seeing it more and more each day. This will probably backfire in Britain as well. Carter is the cause of all that is going on in the mid-east. He should pay a heavy price for this kind of action, he should be shunned as a senile old man. Carter is the ultimate appeaser.
What a patriot Jimmah is!!!!
Actually, I should have used [sic] to indicate that the error was in the original title! I just cut and pasted it. Good catch, though. Thanks.
Dems: "Britain/Australia/etc lick Bush's boots."
...in the next breath,
"Bush has alienated our allies."
