A demon sounds more right to me.

Me too. I'm reading "Unveiling Islam", written by two former Muslims who were born in Iran, came to the U.S. as kids, and converted (with their third brother) to Christianity in the early 1980s. They write with sympathy toward Muslims, but are quite clear in explaining Islam's true nature and why they left it for Christianity. I'm learning a lot from it.

I am currently reading "A Peace to End All Peace: The Fall of the Ottoman Empire and the Creation of the Modern Middle East" by David Fromkin. It deals with period from 1914-1922. It is hard to read it and not think of 9-11, even though it was published in 1989. Fascinating book.

Ooooooo that is an EXCELENT book. Taken from first hand accounts, former Muslims, impossible to debunk. You have to feel sorry for Muslims really, forcibly indoctrinated for over 1,400 years. I don't feel sorry for the terrorists, they should all be executed whenever found. But the Muslims not involved with terrorism, they're a sad bunch of people. Brainwashed and lied to and placated by Islam, to keep them obediant, nothing but placated Islamic robots, militantly policing their own so they don't leave, all of them doing what ever job they have to prop up and placate their despotism forms of Islamic government. No hope, just Islam. And for the woman, less than no hope. No where does Christianity bahave in that way. People who don't want to be Christians, bye bye. It's their choice, their wad to spend, they can do so how they see fit, and pay the piper when he comes to collect. It's quite a contrast.

Minority Leader Boehner's comments are SPOT ON RIGHT!!! I'm glad to see Congressman Boehner have a DeLayesque moment. DeLay must be somewhere very happy about that comment, glad that his successor shows some spine. :)

We SO NEED to replace Landreau. Definitely going to Louisiana when she comes up for re-election to suppor the GOP candidate. I hope the GOP can find a Vitter like candidate. Maybe some really great conservative woman with statewide name recognition, from a family not known for political corruption and questionable business dealings like the Landreau family. Defeating that pudgy liberal hag would be quite satisfying.

McCarthyism protected this country, and those who hate it are closet socialists who hate him so much because he was right and called them on the carpet. Liberals are acting like what they accused McCarthy of acting like. Liberalism is the new judgemental persecuting militant McCarthyism being directed at conservatives and Chrsitians, as though Conservatism and Christianity are a threat today like what Socialism REALLY WAS to America in the 50s and 60s and 70s and 80s. But Socialism WAS AND IS a real threat to America. Conservatism and Christianity have never been a threat to American, those things created America, and without Conservatism and Christianity there would be no America. Liberals have become the radical McCarthy types they supposedly hate, and have become what they demonized McCarthy for being, which he never really was. He was a patriot, a good American, and in no small part, defeated socialism's growing movement in America. He should be memorialized.

Another comparrison which Smeagol Carville failed to make, is the fact that like the War on Terror, WWII went on for nearly a decade before the U.S. got involved. The Terror War was going on for MANY YEARS before America engaged it. The 90s for example. The war was waging and we didn't engage it. The 30s and early 40s for example. Fascist Nazi Germany and Imperialistic Japan was consuming the world for a decade murdering millions and destroying dozens of legitimate governments, before America got off it's ivory tower and got engaged. If we'd of engaged Germany and Japan in the 30s, and terror in the 90s, both wars would have been over many years sooner. Pearl Harbor wouldn't have happened, Normandy wouldn't have been necessary. 9-11 wouldn't have happened, and Afghanistan and Iraq likely wouldn't have been necessary. If we'd of been engaged in the war being waged on us in the 90s, like in the 30s, both would have ended a dacade sooner. That's a comparrison that Smeagol Carville will never make. But both are accurate.
