Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?

The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Democrats Call on News Networks to Balance Stories TVweek ^ | September 13, 2006 | Ira Teinowitz

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.

"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

Sounds about right. However, if they didn't tax the crap out of us we might be able to afford something more than Walmart.

Depends on who wins the election. That what NSA Terrorists Survaliance debate etc. is all about. The Democrats want to rebuild that same legal wall that prevented that Computer from being cracked.

Oh don't get me wrong, Tony Snow is a HUGE reason. He's been AWESOME as PS. Having a spine in that spot is HUGE. I was just meaning the speeches by Bush and the truth of the leak not being from the White House is having it's effects too. I sure can tell the winds have changed and the GOP is in great and getting better shape, because when I say in mixed company that the Democrats won't pick up seats in November and point out things, NO liberal wants to argue with me. They literally don't want to talk about it. :) Months ago, they'd get emotional and loud and talk about DeLay, and Iraq and WMD. and the economy, and the deficit and all that. Well, now DeLay didn't do anything wrong, and left, Iraq is improving and plenty of WMD has been proven to be found, and Jow Wilson was proved to be a liar, showing that Iraq was trying to get Uranium from Nigeria, which was removed from Iraq a couple years ago, and the economy is booming, and the deficit will be cut by half two years before estimates because of tax cuts. On and on and on.

The cost of Iraq that Smeagol Carville is the big thing that caught my ear that he said. The cost of Iraq is So MUCH more then paid for by the huge revenues from the tax cuts. The deficit being paid off by HALF two years before the Congressional Budget Office expected is AFTER paying for the Iraq war. That never gets talked about. The deficit going down by half two years sooner even after paying for the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan, which isn't cheap either, that's a BIG BIG DEAL!!!

The government is raking it in because of the tax cuts and the liberals NEVER touch that. Revenue to the government now is higher then at ANY TIME during Clinton's administration, despite the gutting of the Military and Intelligence industry, the government takes in more money now then in the 90s, despite two major expensive wars going on right now, the government continues to rake it in in the billions, higher then expected every year.

Rush: "Japan attacked us. We invaded Europe."

I saw a show on the Military Channel, Tuesday, that said exactly that...Japan attacked us, but we ran a containment battle in the Pacific, and a victory battle in Europe, until we started winning consistatly in the Pacific.

Yup. All Bush's fault. :) And I have a feeling that Unemployment will drop in October and the holiday rush is starting. 4.4% for December and January might not be out of the realm of possibility. That would be Bush's fault too.

A Mafia Godfather learns that his bookkeeper has embezzled ten million dollars. The bookkeeper is deaf and that was the reason he got the job in the first place.

It was assumed that a deaf bookkeeper would not be able to hear anything that he'd ever have to testify about in court. So, when the Godfather interrogates the bookkeeper about the missing $10 million, he brings along an attorney who knows sign language.

The Godfather asks the bookkeeper, "Where's the 10 million you embezzled from me"?

The attorney, using sign language, asks the bookkeeper where the 10 million is hidden.

The bookkeeper signs back, "I don't know what you are talking about."

The attorney tells the Godfather, "He says he doesn't know what you're talking about."

The Godfather pulls out a 9 mm pistol, puts it to the bookkeeper's temple, cocks it and says, "Ask him again!"

The attorney signs to the bookkeeper, "He'll kill you for sure if you don't tell him!"

The bookkeeper signs back, "Okay! You win! The money is in a brown briefcase, buried behind the shed in my cousin Enzo's backyard in Queens!"

The Godfather asks the attorney, "Well, what'd he say"?

The attorney replies, "He says you don't have the guts to pull the trigger."
