I never found Ann to be caustic at all. George H.W. said he never understood how some did not "get it" considering how funny her comment about the silver foot was. There was nothing to forgive. Mrs.Richards was a gracious lady, a wonderful mother and a devout Christian. And she raised four wonderful children.
