Whoa,7-8 shots to bring down a pit bull.
I've read that viscous dogs, esp pit bulls are very tough to stop. If available, have a shotgun.

...by my count, nine times. Pit Bulls were bread to be almost indestructible killing machines, so it's not surprising. What never fails to surprise me is the stupidity of Pit Bull owners who allow these killing machines to wander around free. Pit Bull owners who don't keep their dogs under restraint should have to do jail time.
