"Tire pressure increase as the tires get hotter. When that happens the tire gets harder making the tire lose grip after a given number of laps etc. Letting air seep out at a small rate helps keep ALL the adjustments the same for longer. As well as keeping basically the same "feel".
"RCR had taken 3/100th of the rims of their short track cars because they dont have innerliners so that allowed to the air to escape like a bleeder valve. There is no rule against this but there will be one by next week,"
