People hijack ideas for their own end all the time, and to blame it on religion is to show how ignorant you are about that era in history.

I have. Apologies in that I misconstrued your statement about religious prejudice to mean religion was the source of the prejudice when in fact the Jews were targeted because of their religion, and not for religious reasons.
