60% of something is better then 100% of nothing. A position ofter pushed by Ronald Reagan, but not often attributed to him.

I swallow this bitter pill by realizing that the vote is really message to the Dems: Do we support the moderate or the netkook wing. Unfortunately, that's what the race here is.
Good answer.

You are probably right. Maybe it was snarky that I heard but by the time I got to the keyboard it got converted to smarmy;)
They both work.
Snarky is better. From Pseudodictionary:
"snarky - When the word "bitchy" is too negative, use "snarky."
snarky
adj. Slang.
Rudely sarcastic or disrespectful; snide.
Irritable or short-tempered; irascible.
smarmy
adj.
Hypocritically, complacently, or effusively earnest; unctuous. See synonyms at unctuous. Sleek.

Agreed to a point. I really think that he's been SO backstabbed by the DNC, that they'll have no real friend in him anymore.

Voting for RINOs just breeds more RINOs. And putting expediency ahead of principle is why we have in essence one party instead of two. And we need the intellectual competition that a true multi-party system provides. What we've got now is a crock.

I agree with JD. It was outrageous to say John F. Kennedy and George W. Bush in the same sentence......LOLOL.....but for a very different reason!

Yep, although he ticked off his voting base causing him to lose a primary. He has no one to blame but himself for that.

In 92, like AQ, I voted Perot. The horrific consequences to that decision will never be forgotten.

To: ct_libertarian
LIEberman will still caucus with DUmocrats. Voting for a DUmocrat? Why not Lamont? Pushing the party further leftward over the edge accelerating their demise.

Yes. I've admitted to this before here and was roundly castigated. However, nothing comes close to what I've thought of myself for that pique of anger.
