Will do.
He was buried at the Zoo on Saturday.
Fixed time setting for Brisbane, Australia, Sept 20, 2006 9AM local
Did anyone take a listen to he song mentioned in the full version of the article. I need tissues and my two year old was humming along with it and clapped for the song.
So, it's 6 PM Central Daylight Time on Tuesday, 11/19. Thanks!
(It's actually on my birthday, at the time in Australia.)
No, is it by John Williamson? (I don't have a sound card on this puter.)

CLICK here to listen to Colin Buchanan's tribute song to Steve Irwin, Goodbye Crocodile Hunter.
The lyrics appear below.
1. Wasn't he a beauty
Crikey what a gem
A dinkum Aussie treasure
A khaki larrikin
Throwin' it all out there
Doin' what he'd do
You'd better duck for cover
Cos Steve is comin' through
2. Crazy as a cut snake
Bold as any man
He'd dive onto a crocodile
Hold spiders in his hand
Dodge a deadly brown snake
With big-eyed, "Holy
Smoke!"
You could love him
You could loathe him
But you couldn't miss the bloke
CHORUS
And wasn't he a beauty
Crikey what a gem
A dinkum Aussie treasure
A khaki larrikin
Throwin' it all out there
With his heart upon his sleeve
Goodbye Crocodile Hunter
Farewell Steve
3. He loved those deadly creatures
He gave the bush his all
The nastier the moment
The more he had a ball
1000 miles a minute
A showman to the core
He'd take a bit of bark off
And keep comin' back for more...
CHORUS
And wasn't he a beauty
Crikey what a gem
A dinkum Aussie treasure
A khaki larrikin
Throwin' it all out there
With his heart upon his sleeve
Goodbye Crocodile Hunter
Farewell Steve
Goodbye Crocodile Hunter
Farewell Steve
Farewell Steve

What great lyrics-A tribute to Steve!
how beautiful, a great person/son. I enjoy hearing of sons loving their mothers that much. Makes me all the more angry for having a brother who has hurt my mother beyond forgiveness. (emotional & mental abuse and blackmail of $30K)
Still looking at the Animal Planet site for word on broadcast of the Memorial Service, no news yet. I did see these 2 page y'all might be interested in (and have probably already seen?) - Videos - http://animal.discovery.com/beyond/player.html?playerId=203719213&categoryId=211217094&lineupId=212352045&clik=animal_leftnav and Pics - http://animal.discovery.com/fansites/crochunter/steve/slideshow/slideshow.html
Thanks, I am still looking as well. I read one report that said ABC, but haven't seen any details.
The service will also be broadcast on big screens in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and into Asia and the US.
But the article doesn't give specifics or details. They're probably still working it out.
612 broadcasts Steve Irwin's memorial service
On Wednesday, 20 September, 612 ABC Brisbane will be broadcasting from Australia Zoo from 8.30am, to bring you the memorial service live from 9.00am.
Thanks - I'm coming back to look at the pix.
Do you have a link to listen to the song?

I'm guessing that Animal Planet may not even be set up for a live broadcast? Seems like they'll be a good place to look for info, but that the actual broadcast would be on another channel, as mom4kittys mentioned.
I did find this so who knows where it will be on.
Question:I've been looking for days for the list of channels (or for at least one) so I can record the memorial and I have not been able to come up with any answers to this simple question. Does anyone know yet????
Reply: NBC was in talks to air it. both the chnnel and raido
