Wrong. You did not read this post very well... These are not ads. They are simple letters to the editor that have been published by the newspaper in PRINT and then NOT PUT ONLINE
Who wrote the letter? Was it the BootMurtha organization? The fact of the matter is that we don't know what occurred in the editorial offices of the Tribune-Democrat after their print edition went out. For all we know, their lawyer(s) ran through the editors offices screaming that they can't run the letter because of the CFR violation.
Under CFR, an organization may not take out advertising NOR write any letters mentioning any candidate by name less than 90 days out from a federal election. As I understand it, individual citizens can still write letters, but it is really up to the newspaper's discretion if the letter gets printed or not. In fact, under CFR, only newspapers are excluded from any free speech abridgement that applies to the rest of us.
Could be a case where the web site master as opposed to the editorial department is a leftie moonbat practicing censorship.
