If a protest vote is what you want, the weak TX governor is a fat target. My dad is a lifelong Republican and says the same thing. He will support the Party but after 40 years of working for them (including 6 times a State Convention delegate) he wants them to know how unhappy he is. The Gov will have little effect if we keep the legislature. He has already cost the gov a couple of dozen votes and is just getting started.
Besides it sure won't be the first nut we've had in office!
