City to take part in Freedom Walk
WETUMPKA -- This small community on the Coosa River is among more than 100 cities across the nation that will participate in the America Supports You Freedom Walk.

Lemoore students hold "Freedom Walk"

On Monday, students in Lemoore took part in a Freedom Walk honoring of the victims of 9-11. Lemoores Freedom Walk was held in conjunction with over 100 other walks nationwide. Lemoore City Councilman John Grego tells CBS 47, This is a fantastic thing. A couple of people got together and thought it would be a great idea to honor our veterans and the people of New York Trade Center and they formed this and isn't it great?" The event also paid tribute to veterans and members of the armed services who put their lives on the line in the war on terrorism. Councilman Grego says hed like to see this event return on a yearly basis.
