They did not criticize Bush tonight, at least not so that you would notice. Everyone said it would slam Condi, but I thought it was remarkably balanced. She came off as intently interested in the threat of Bin Laden, but she was the "new kid" on the block, doing just what people oon this thread wanted all of the Bush appointees to do: rearrange the positions and ease new people into place.

Remember, Bush had no transition time, thanks to Gore, and Congress was not too helpful about getting his Cabinet confirmed quickly. Remember how trashed the White House and offices were when the Bush team moved in on January 21, 2001? File cabinets glued together, keys missing from computers, nasty substances(?)poured into drawers. It was probably mid-March before the offices were in decent working shape after Clinton's team wasgone.

Clarke came off as a narcissistic jerk, inflating his role in everything. And he blew first one way and then the other. You could certainly tell that he did most of the writing on this project.

I think George Tenet's portrayal was the worst, after Albright's. What a bunch of bumbler's they all were.

But where was Hillary (Madam 2 for the price of 1) in all this? You know she had a hand in the missiles Clinton launched in '98 and '99. Nary a mention of that in this movie. Are they innoculating her for her Presidential run in 2008?
