Sure he did. And, he took over the White House and gave orders on 9/11, too. I wonder why he didn't just jump in a phone booth, change clothes and fly up in the air to stop the planes with the palm of his hand.

I think Clarke's overblown ego came through in the production.

I doubt that anyone on either side of the aisle, or in the middle for that matter, thinks that he was that much of a hero.

It was the silliest, least believable part of the movie, IMO.
