I hardly consider the Constitution and rights of ALL citizens as windmills...but apparently some do.
Actually, there is much discussion as to whether or not Islam is a religion in the sense that Christianity, Judaism, etc., are religions. Islam is inseparable from its law, its politics, its militias. Is that compatible with our Constitution? I'm not getting into this discussion on this thread, but it is something you need to think about.
As do I. However foreign citizens are another matter entirely. Also some of those naturalized Muslim citizens likely became citizens under false pretenses, which IIRC is grounds for revocation of that citizenship.
