My thoughts-
1. I hate the woman playing Condi because of her role on 24-- it is a visceral reaction.
2. The leader of the Northern Alliance should have been supported and the Taliban routed.
3. Albright, Tenet and the Bergler looked like crap.
4. Clarke and O'Neill came across as people who get it, along with an assortment of the FBI lower level guys.
5. The Wall should have been mentioned by name in the FBI/CIA standoff.
6. Government and politicians are going to have a heck of a time winning this war if we want to make sure that no one gets their feelings hurt.
7. The commission "F's" and D's are primarily where the Dems don't want to allow any infringement on civil rights of citizens and non-citizens alike.
Overall I give this production an A-. I hope they put out an uncut DVD.
I agree with your remarks.
Only I think it makes "government" look horrible. Not Clinton or Bush, per se, just "government."
They suck.
But after watching it, I can see what a lot of people in the government hate Bush.
Clarke had far too BIG a part in the film and was made to appear far TOO heroic/brilliant/wonderful. This was the FICTION part, referred to in the constant disclaimers, I hope. *snicker*
Yes, yes, yes, YES(!), Gorelick's WALL should have been named and referred to over and over again, without end.
Condi and Cheney were made to look terrible; sadly.
Last night's show was much better done.
