Let's stop wasting elections. It doesn't matter what the voters think and it's expensive.

What a sad, sad post. Full of delusion, lies and wishful thinking.

"You shot yourselves in the foot. You went to the members of the house and told them you were a majority. But you were not. The house believed you and passed legislation you wanted."

Really? Did HR-4437 not pass? Do opinions polls like the trusted Rasmussen Reports not show the majority of Americans support, by something like twenty points, a fence of the U.S.-Mexico border? The national guard on the border? Not giving illegals welfare benefits? The majority of Americans do support these things, president Bush and Kenneth Mehlman do not. Tancredo is more in the majority on most things involving illegal immigration than president Bush and his good senate immigration buddies; John McCain, Edward Kennedy and Harry Reid. Oh let's not forget his praise on immigration from Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

"Then when the Senate wrote a bill, Hastert learned the truth."

Which was what? The senate acts like a house of lords and is out-of-step with America on many issues?

"So he set out to raise public support for trashing illegal immigration."

Yes, you caught him. Hastert, Sensenbrenner and the rest went on to trash illegals. If you believe that, how can you call yourself a conservative in good faith? There is nothing conservative about a comment about illegal immigration like that, it's to ignorant. Only to open borders loonies can having hearings on illegal immigration be considered "trashing." And even if that was what it was, which it wasn't, what is wrong with trashing those who openly break our laws?

"So here are your choices guys... Vote for your boy in the primary and lose the general election."

You seem really saddened that a conservative may win and not the RINO, simply because you are a left-winger on illegal immigration and Randy Graf is not. Graf will most likely not lose the general, it's a conservative district. The republican candidate, no matter who it is, will be the favorite.

You seem the type willing to give up any principle for power, just like the RNC. Sure vote for leftists like Joe Lieberman and Lincoln Chafee. It's your vote. I already live with enough guilt for thinking Clinton was a decent president at one time.

"Then the Democratic House will pass a bill that contains the same provisions as the Canadian bill. That is show a valid Mexican birth certificate and legally live and work anywhere in the USA they want to."

Rewarding illegals just like Bush and establishment types want. Maybe a little more, but closer to Bush's views most likely than the house bill, HR-4437.

"The Democrats will have solved the illegal immigrant problem by making them all legal..."

Exact same thing with Bush's "path to citizenship" garbage. Yeah I know, it may take only this amount of time as opposed to this amount of time in the senate bill. Big deal.

Vote for your boy in the primary and lose the general election.

Wait a minute here....I thought that was what primaries are for, nominating the best possible candidate to run in the general election.

So now you're advocating for conservatives to simply not participate in the primary process and just vote for the Republican regardless? I understand holding the nose for the Republican in the general but for the primary?

Did any of you ever consider why people who share your views never get elected to positions of authority in the Republican party?

Didn't think so.

But before you start bit*ching again you might want to figure out why you have not had control of the Republican Party for 42 years. Then you had it for just 4 years. And when you have had control you have only won ONE house election and no presidential elections in 75 years.

And don't try telling me that you are a REAGAN Republican. You can't even keep his 11th commandment for over 2.5 minutes at a time.

Rick Santorum is ranked third in the Senate.

Haster is 3rd in line to the Presidency.

But, tell us again how no one that believes (Santorum) in border enforcement or stands for border enforcement(Hastert) is elected to positions of authority.

But before you start bit*ching again you might want to figure out why you have not had control of the Republican Party for 42 years.

Because Republicans liked being in the minority?

Which is where pursuing and accepting liberal policies got them.

You're right, I didn't think about this. Possibly because it's completely irrelevent. There are republicans in high ranking committees, like James F. Sensenbrenner, Jr.

But seriously, is this all? As long as the majority of house republicans are on the right side of immigration, it doesn't matter. A lot of good those in a "positions of authority" have done getting Bush's amnesty shoved through the house of representatives, right?

Tancredo's immigration reform caucus has 98 members last I looked: 94 republicans and four democrats. Not bad.

"But before you start bit*ching again you might want to figure out why you have not had control of the Republican Party for 42 years."

Just who are you talking about? Who has not had control of the republican party for 42 years?

"And don't try telling me that you are a REAGAN Republican."

I didn't and I wasn't. Reagan is the greatest president in recent history, but it still doesn't mean he is untouchable. The 11th commandment think basically means "shut up and take it." No thanks.

Moving on, I've been meaning to ask you or anyone who lives in Arizona about the primary. Does Arizona have a run-off system like here in Georgia? If Graf gets the most votes, but doesn't get a majority, does he win or what?

You haven't answered my question.

What problem do you have with conservatives fighting to nominate the best possible candidate in the primaries?

This is a PRIMARY election, not the general election. That is what PRIMARIES are for, for selecting the most conservative Republican possible. During the PRIMARY, conservatives aren't going to "hold the nose" and just vote for any Republican. Your analysis simply doesn't hold water.
