I'm not sure how you mean, filthy cave dweller, but from all I have read he was a great man, a former engineering student who spent his entire adult life fighting for Afghanistan's freedom.Yeah, from what the miniseries portrayed, his forces repulsed not only the Soviets, but the Taliban, from the valley they were based out of.

I found it interesting that they said Al-Q was fighting the Soviets and when the Cold War ended they thought it was because THEY beat them. I had not heard that angle before.

What is really amusing is that America got the censored version, and the world got it uncut all because Clinton is obsessed with his meaningless legacy.
Glad to see the cuts were very minor and the meaning of the movie remained. Clinton was a failure. The movie clearly showed his administration failed.
