The cut regarding the conversation in the car that the Republicans were pushing impeachment, etc. seems to me to be better for Clinton than what they replaced it with! The former could be interpreted as putting a lot of blame on Republicans, but the edited version makes just Clinton look "pathetic".

I agree that the cut and substitution was not helpful to bubba. But it does explain his lackeys rushing out to say how focused he was on terror, and they mentioned as an example that he foiled the Milennium bombing.
