does anyone remember the particulars of ollie north being questioned during the contra scandal about the amount of money he had spent on his alarm system on account of his fear of the most evil man...bin laden? and what year/where did he learn so much about bin laden?
That's an urban myth. In 1987, the Soviets were still in Afghanistan, and bin Laden was on the side of the Muhjahadeen who we were supporting. The person who Oliver North mentioned in his testimony was Abu Nidal.
