While I have some issues with the group being discussed by Colson, it's not only the left who is using it's ability to hide it's supporters. In Ohio, the supporters of the marriage contstitutional amendment used the same tactic to hide it's contributors. Talk to Phil Burris. He can explain it all.

Alan Keys made a subtle but brilliant statement on the Jerry Agar show Friday... When the discussion turned to "at what point does this mass of cells become a human being," Alan simply stated that we now use DNA to uniquely identify human beings... At what point during the gestation is there a change in DNA where you would not be able to identify the individual human being.

The simplicity of that rhetorical question is astounding.

As much as I have been impressed with NASA's being able to put people on the moon, the Air Force, IMHO, had a better approach, using plane based ships to get outside of the atmosphere. I believe that if NASA had not been created and the Air Force had been allowed to continue it's programs, we would have created a more sustainable scientific base for space exploration.

Unnamed sources, eh?

Gee.

Why would "anybody" need to be suspicious of MASSIVE amounts of money going to international liberal (socialist) causes from "unknown" donors who want to conceal their names from the public?

Gee.

I wonder.

(Good to hear from you again, kind sir.)

"Theonomist" is a political neologism--and who are "they" and how do you know what "they" want to be called? You sound like quite the authority on bunkum.

The "theonomist" threads are started by the evo-nutcases, when they're not busy invading prayer threads.

No one in the press has tried to expose this secretive enterprise, which is spending millions. Why not? Well, we had better start asking the hard questions ourselves and expose the backers—men like George Soros—who give money to these kinds of groups.

Time is running out.

If you had bothered to do a search on the word "theonomy" here, you wouldn't have said such BS about it.

Alex, Mamzelle called you an "evo nutcase." Would you care to disabuse her of that notion?

Actually, it IS still relevant, just ignored by all and sundry at FedGov. Nor do the States seem inclined to pick up that ball, as the lure of "free" money, even with all its strings, is too much for them. It is up to We, the People, to put an end to these shenanigans, once and for all. It's a pity that tarring and feathering has fallen out of fashion. That might resolve the problem without too much bloodshed.

A VERY, VERY SMALL minority. The hysteria over their existence is way, way over the top.

Alex, whoever, watch out--he's a prayer thread vamp along with his Grand Master and evo-ilk..

So, stands, who's THEY? I'd really like to know who THEY are. You made an assertion that THEY like to be called some new term I had to look up on Wikipedia, and which provided the vaguest of definitions. Looks to me like some new cage you'd like to stick Christians in, so you can poke them with evo-sticks.

When you're not crashing prayer threads, that is.

Helps to ping who you are talking to.

Alex is the guy you think doesn't exist. "THey" are the pro-theocrats who posted on the thread. He used the term "theonomy".

Either he's the only one or he has compatriots. I believe the second.

BTW, I'm female.

Read the posts in the link I provided. Then you'll learn all about theonomy.

I don't have a problem with Christians until they have a problem with me.

And the so-called "prayer thread" was posted in News/activism with an article and a parenthetical mention of prayer. This was no family member of a Freeper asking for a personal prayer.

BTW, the closest thing I have to a "grand master" is Buddha. If you ever want to be happy, you might learn a thing or two from him.

Well, until I saw the idea being promoted by Freepers, I used to think like you.

That's not something that should be a part of a Free Republic.

But Jim has no problem with the posts.

THAT makes me very uncomfortable.

>I agree, in a lot of ways, Pat Robertson is like the Michael Moore of conservativism.<

Robertson has a college education - a J.D. from Yale Law School, and a Master of Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary.

Michael Moore has a degree in being a horse's butt.

He, she. If you choose a neutral persona, it'll get mistaken. But, that's better than choosing an obvious feminine nomdeplum on a whim. Then you get to live with it.

Those threads were very poorly attended...like another forum I know...all I saw were evos eager to ride some new hobby horse.

As for pinging to whom you're talking, your crowd doesn't bother with that anymore. It was a courtesy, kind of like respecting "Prayer Request"--

Theonomy--and reading about it--I've spent too many years reading the jargon-gravy of Dmins and Phds, muddy with thickeners, to read about this one. YOU said THEY prefer "theonomist"--which implies a familiar and common usage, not arcana. What I'd like to know, is who THEY are. I guess you don't mean the religious right, because they'd already be acquainted with the term and wouldn't need a seminar.

Now you assign lengthy reading to define some nichework of an aspiring academic who doesn't want to do real work for a living. Sort of like scientists, only the seminarians piddle and diddle, and scientists make outlandish claims of creating new life from old.

I think "theocrat" works better as a scare-me sock puppet. Throw in "like the Taliban" and you can get some real demagoguery in your recipe.

You get your morals from others? You were talking about a Christian and you didn't ping him. When pointed out, you put the responsibility for your actions on evos. Completely ridiculous since the thread had nothing to do with evolution.

Yeah, a death sentence for a disobedient child is not like the Taliban at all. You acted like these people don't exist, and you were called on it. Bet it makes you angry. But I'm sure you are used to being angry.
