I'm thinking this is a rope-a-dope strategy along the lines of all the democratic crying in the run-up to the release of the Starr Report. Do you remember how that thudded when it landed without the goods?
If this is some kind of rope-a-dope strategy, it would be to portray the actual failings of the Klintoon administration in an exaggerated or embellished manner, hoping that then the public would write off the actual failings as mere TV fiction.
If that is what they are playing, I think it will backfire, BIG TIME.
