To: Alas Babylon!

Clearly someone on the bubba team owns Clarke. The question is why?

I read somewhere that Clarke resented not being promoted when Bush2 became President. Could that be the source of his venom?

I don't think anybody owns Clarke. I think Clarke never got the respect from Clinton he felt due, and when this script came up, he did everything to remedy this lack.

The outtakes make Clinton look like a skirt grabbing jerk (not difficult) and Clarke The Voice of Reason and Adulthood.

I think Clinton is madder about this than anything, because nobody disses Bill, especially not this pipsqueak functionary.

Richard Clark has always been anti-Bush. If I remember right that began when he was passed over for promotion by Condi Rice. He was eventually demoted too if I remember right and left the NSA for private practice, which was how he became involved with the Democrat attack machine.
