Wallace let it go unchallenged.

Well no. Wallace asked, with a tone of incredulty, "Surely you're not comparing the WOT with Watergate?"

Dean says..."No, but they all lead to an imperial presidency."

As if the Clinton presidency wasn't the most imperial presidency in the history of this country.

New DEM talking points this week....ears up:

"Nixon, Agnew". Look to see these names bandied about. It's perfect. Nixon's name does bring up visions of nefarious deed although I know, hey, Watergate was all about nothing.

"The Democrats think we shouldn't be in IRAQ," says Dean. So WHY THE HELL DID THE MAJORITY OF THE DEMS VOTE TO GO THERE? Not that the interviewing journalist asked this or anything.

Oh....now we are doing a terrible job in Afghanistan. Rice is wrong about Afghanistan, says the lovely Dean.

Wallace brings up Plame link. Brings up Dean quote where he named Rove as the leaker. Dean still thinks Rove should be fired. Then Dean changes subject.

Such as bringing an idiot's words back to him just won't do.

Someday, in my lifetime, I'd like the administration or a Republican to ask the left how they explain the fact that the Iraq newspapers (state-sponsored) and reporters seemed to know that 9/11 was coming.

Maybe Osama and Saddam were just gossiping over the backyard fence when this got published in Iraq's newspaper before 9/11:

Less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper “Al-Nasiriya” carried a column headlined, “American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin.” (July 21, 2001)

In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US “with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.”

The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden “will strike America on the arm that is already hurting,” and that the US “will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs” – an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, “New York, New York”.

Thanks for the post. It's always fun to hear Howard Dean represent his party so accurately.
