I take your counsel for lack of knowledge to be what it is.

It is because of the discoveries of 'science' DNA in particular that removed from me the cloud of teaching from most Christian churches that all humanity came from only two flesh beings.

Funny thing about it is the Bible does not say all people came from only two flesh beings, and further what do the church goers of the modern day do, try and dress up a theory called evolution as answer to what their claim is.

Oh and the Heavenly Father gives you that freedom to lean atheist.

LOL. The odd thing, is that DNA evidence seems to suggest that we are all related, almost incestuously, and have an amazingly little DNA differentiation. It is possible that the magic mutation that really worked, came from one couple. Or maybe it was more complex that that, per what I read recently, about life's necessities, affecting gene development. Don't ask me to explain; I don't have a handle on it.

But that is all noise. I don't think intellectual Catholics, take the Biblical genesis words literally. I think they think more in terms of metaphor, and elaborate based on later insights. But I could be wrong. I am a near Atheist Wasp, unschooled in any of this. In any event, leaps of faith need not be leashed to one paticular tract in one text. It may be more a many layers of the onion thingy.
