I had a multi-year argument/discussion with a liberal friend and eventually we agreed that it came down to:

He blames the Republicans for going after Clinton over Lewinsky, I blame Clinton for having the affair and giving them the ammunition to go after them.

We agreed to disagree. I was not going to change his mind and he was definitely not going to change mine.

Thing that gets me about the Lewinsky affair is that it didn't happen in a vacuum. Most Americans just don't get it

Clinton was already caught lying about Jennifer Flowers
He was being sued by Paula Jones
There were reports out about his using the State Troopers as pimps etcetc

With all that hanging over his head he plays hide the cigar with an intern
