That was one of the DUMBEST, most revolting statements I've heard in my entire life! Saddam Hussein was a sworn ENEMY of the United States, whose fingerprints are on the FIRST World Trade Center bombing and who ordered the assassination of the first President Bush! This is the guy who invaded Kuwait and forced us to occupy Saudi Arabia for 12 years to keep him contained. Saddam committed genocide against his own people and pursued weapons of mass destruction. To say we would have been safer with him in power is unbelievable and for Jay Rockefeller to say that and repudiate his vote FOR the war shows the Democrats are descending to the final phase of madness. They cannot be trusted with our national security.
