Ha, believe it or not we have 2 movieplexes in our fair city with 12 screens each. :)
I don't go out to movies much, my hubby never goes because it is too expensive of a nap for him. He stays with the kiddos while I go with a friend. It's funny you mention the Illusionist because I think Ed Norton is in it. His films are usually great, so it also made it to my "make every effort to see" list. It will be nice to see a movie that is well written and doesn't need to rely on special effects.
Has anyone else gotten sick of movies where you barely hear the dialogue, then the music comes on so loud you can barely stand it?

Yes, even bad movies with bad directors should be able to at least have good sound, but often it is the most frustrating part of the movie.

I have resigned myself to the fact that most theatres think the audience is 14 years old.
At Hollywoodland there was a senior couple who had a hearing problem and they insisted on explaining the movie to each other. Fortunately there were plenty of empty seats and everyone moved away from them.
