Not knowing who the heck Ron Jeremy is (sorry Ron), I went to Wiki and found this gem. During his tenure at Oxford he attracted the admiration from surprising quarters like Hilaire Belloc, Benazir Bhutto, William Gladstone who themselves have had the coveted post of Union President.

Hail, Britannia!

"Ron Jeremy has an account here, in good standing as one might expect. "

Yes, but is it really he? Have you seen his credentials?

This is a bit of an off-the-wall guess but I'd suspect that's a different Ron Jeremy. :=)

Like the Rector of Stiffkey, Gladstone attracted comment upon his work with prostitutes, but really . . .

Okaaay. How's this for rewrite?

During his tenure at Oxford Mr Jeremy attracted the admiration from surprising quarters as did Hilaire Belloc, Benazir Bhutto and William Gladstone, who had also held the coveted post of Union President.

As it reads in Wiki, Hilaire et al were praising Jeremy.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

The much-derided like in old Winston commercials pales by comparison.

Reordering would also have done the trick.
