liberal activist Barbra Streisand, whose husband James Brolin portrays Reagan in the miniseries, said CBS "caved" to "an organized Republican spin machine."

Senate Minority leader Tom Daschle later called the decision to pull the show "appalling." CBS "totally collapsed," he told National Public Radio.

I don't look as Reagan as a god. I just don't look at him as as idiot, which the miniseries made him out to be, pink cheeks and all.

...big diff...the Reagan movie was a deliberate hit piece on a dying man.
..this was about the 9/11 commission

the reaction is quite normal for a lib, it just goes to show you how important it is to keep these people out of high places.

"A lot of people look at him as a god,"

That a touch strong.....although I think we should come up with some space on Mt. Rushmore....

The Reagans movie was pulled because two minutes of viewing would have proved that the movie was nothing but a caracature.

This situation is entirely different.

"A lot of people look at him as a god,"

I keep a small statue of him in the basement. I worship it daily and offer it human blood every full moon.

The double standard: leftists getting away with whatever they want to.

That movie wasn't cancelled, Showtime picked it up and aired it.

It cannot be repeated enough. No government officials were calling for the cesureship of the Reagan movie. (By definition, only the government can censor.) CBS pulled it due to outrage by the public. That is not censorship.

Censorship is when US Senators pressure a network to not a show a movie by threatening to take away their broadcasting license. That IS censureship.

To sum up: Reagan movie: no censorship. 9/11: Blatant, outrageous censorship.
