When a Rat does this, it's good and they get a pass from the Drive By.

But when a GOP'er does this, it's scandal and it's the GOP big business interests getting paybacks.

Just when it looked like Mike McGavick's campaign was tanking, along comes this VERY interesting developement. The race keeps swaying back and forth.

The lobbyist, 59, said he did not personally lobby Cantwell on the dam or biotechnology money, leaving that work instead to his firm's two full-time lobbyists in Washington, D.C.

Oh yeah, that gets him off the hook. NOT!

I am surprised but the Seattle PI is the local media. Could it be that the dems have raised this issue because she supports the war in Iraq? Remember Lieberman. I don't doubt it for a minute.

McGavick DUI has been front page news on Seattle TImes and Seattle PI for two weeks now.

I bet they bury this Cantwell story in a day or two.

They do these things to pretend to appear unbiased.

Both the Seattle-Times and Seattle-PI will official endorse Cantwell a few weeks before the election. Watch.

I didn't know that McGavick's campaign was tanking? Why do you say that? Also, I heard that a critical error that George Nethercutt made was that he never really bonded with "King County".

Do you think that McGavick will have a stronger appeal in King County? I hesistate to write this race off yet.

The problem with George Nethercutt was A. He was from the wrong side of the state, B. He was running against Patty Murray.

Patty Murray, for reasons I cannot even begin to comprehend, is loved in Washington State. We've fed her 3 decent candidates and she's eaten them all for lunch.

Murray will be a Senator till she retires or dies. Sad but true.

I am afraid this state has its cunning ways to get Democrats elected. Does the general populace really want or vote for Socialism? Of course, true patriots seem to be a dieing breed.

That's just sad. I guess "we" just have to stay out of her way until she dies or retires like you said.

Of course, being a Democrat, she will probably have to die before she leaves a position of power within the govt.

Would you say that McGavick is dead?
