I work with about 8 forme NO residents. Not all are bad, these are hard working and either have or are looking into buying homes here in Houston.

It is because there are good people among the Katrina refugees in Houston that Oprah at al should stop painting all of them as victims of American indifference. Calling a bum a bum -- be he black or white -- is the quickest way to distinguish them from non-bums. However, in the eyes of Oprah, if you're a black Katrina refugee living in Houston, NOTHING is your fault. Makes me sick.

Same here. I know a few folks from NO that plan on staying. They're good folks, they don't have much to go back to so they're going to make their home here. We got some rotten eggs, that's for sure. But we had plenty of our own before the storm.
