Mission Control HOUSTON reporting in.

All controllers are at their stations and ready for launch.

Flight control team monitoring all teams, should be ready to support launch, monitoring weather in case of abort to launch site.

Two TransOceanic sites are favorable, Marone Spain and SE France is backup.

The International Space Station is orbiting 220 miles above Earth. Right now, the outpost is flying south of Australia. At launch, it will be over the North Atlantic. Liftoff is timed to place Atlantis on course to dock with the station Monday at 6:45 a.m.

I have never seen a launch. But the most awesome space related sight ever was the docked craft fly almost directly overhead just after sunrise. I was on I-26 between Johnson City and Asheville and pulled off the road. The sun was up, but I was still in shade.

It appeared as bright red and as compared to to the speed that a jet advances across the sky, it was like the tortoise and hare race.

That thing was moving ON!!!

Here in Vero on the east coast. Clouds to the west put they don't appear to be moving in that quickly. Crystal blue skies to the east.

The Main Propulsion System helium system has been reconfigured by pilot Chris Ferguson.

Is there anything this guy can't do? ;-)
