In a bit of hilariously convoluted logic, a dem operative argued on H&C that it doesn't matter that Clinton passed up bin Laden because Bush let him go at Tora Bora.

In the process of making this criticism, they always ignore the genius of a strategy that allowed us to invade Afghanistan without getting run out by the jealous Afghans that expelled the British and the Russians. I guess they never understand why we backed up Afghans instead of doing everything ourselves.
