I hope I'm wrong. But the names being thrown out as front runners are Rudi and McCain. Romney runs a distant third.

Rudi and Romney's northeast origins are documented.

McCain, by his courtship of the northeast media, is at least as northeast and, by far, the most dangerous of the three.

Rudi would, at least, be competent on the war on terror. Romney would also and has the added bonus of bring with us on some social issues.

I'd prefer to see a good, solid conservative such as Tom Coburn or Jeff Sessions. I'd even settle for Condi Rice. Last I heard, however, none of them are running and Wall Street certainly ain't backing them.

Bush, if you will recall, was foisted on us by the Wall Street crowd. We accepted him because he was so much better than the McCain alternative. While he has done reasonably well on the war on terror, the economy and supreme court nominations, he has been an absolute flop on protecting America's borders and our first amendment rights. Unlike McCain, he is sane and stable. But like him, he craves to be loved and accepted by the same northeast media monopoly which seeks to do him in.

Just who do you think could beat Hitlery and still get the backing of Wall Street.

To tell you the truth, I think it's FUBAR. I have no clue. Therefore I am but a yapping small dog.

McCain is insane, Giuliani is not a conservative AT ALL, Rice isn't much of one either (from what I've read) and doesn't want to be POTUS anyway. Romney? From what I've read he's just too wishy washy. I agree in the main about Bush. I just think a real, fiery conservative with backbone would have a good chance of winning. I think enough people are sick of airbrushed politicians with their fingers in the air, reading the poll results before stating their positions.

Look at CA and Schwarzenegger. Has an "R" next to his name. So what.

Regarding beating Hitlery - I really don't think she's formidable. I think many people hate her guts (like me) or just have a weird, creepy feeling about her. I think she has no chance of winning at all. But if the GOP nominates a non-conservative like Giuliani, her chances improve, since a lot of conservative voters will be so digusted they'll sit it out or do a protest write in.

The GOP needs to get a clue, but they probably won't.
