Hey ABC executives reading this.....since when should you cave in and bend to demands like these from a political party....if national security issues were at stake that would be a consideration. Play the film unedited and let the chips fall where they may for democrats and republicans alike. DONT CAVE in or you will lose respect even further.

ABC has created this whole controversy for ratings.Show one version in advance,and when it got out that Clinton and his cronies look bad,(not hard to do),the version that will be shown will be watered down.As the old saying goes,there is no such thing as bad publicity.(especially when ther will be no commercial breaks and no sponsorship)
Congressional democrats wrote a letter to ABC demanding changes in a miniseries they haven't even seen to conform to their vision of the "way things were". That's extraordinarily dangerous. Lawmakers using their Congressional office to attempt to force a private company to toe their propaganda line is very close to true government censorship.
Sean Hannity read a quote from a CIA guy during the Clinton years that said the core theme of the movie was accurate. Does anybody have that quote or link to it?

This is absolutely fabulous, fabulous!!!! The dems are trying to tell the American People that they can best protect the country and here they are running scared of a TV show. Do they not realize how this makes them look to the voters? Do they not realize that the worst possible thing for them would be to have this cancelled or withdrawn?
Why? Simple, if it is withdrawn at the dems behest/demand the American People will draw the worst conclusions (without seeing the film) about the dems. Its like a situation during a trial where a lawyer pulls a piece of suprise evidence from his bag and tells the jury just enough about it to get the jury thinking. The opposition goes ape, nuts and objects!!! The jury never ends up seeing the evidence, but the seed is planted enough so that the damage is done. The other side looks afraid and their case looks weak.
In some ways, I hope this series never airs. It will be the Wellstone moment of this year's election. Imagine, the democrat party censoring TV. Is that what they mean by a "new direction?"
ABC already screwed themselves by announcing that there was further editing going on. Now the libs won't watch because they won't think the editing went far enough and the Conservatives won't watch because we know it's just more Hollywood sugarcoat.
Is the movie version out now, or is that still the TV version that ran a little earlier than the cinema version? I would like to see the cinema version.
